Monogram Cooktop Is Making A Buzzing Noise

Occasionally, the Monogram cooktop is making a buzzing noise even when not in use. Consumers may notice a humming sound during these times. This noise is likely caused by vibrations from the LED power supply board located at the bottom of the cooktop. The transformer fins on the LED power supply may be coming into contact with the access door, which can result in this vibrating noise.

Possible Solution:

If there is evidence of transformer fins making contact with the access door, you can address this issue in two ways:
First, consider using self-adhesive mastic. Apply strips of mastic to the transformer side of the access cover. The mastic will serve as spacers and help reduce noise.
Second, you can replace the LED power supply board with a new one.

Note: Many of these units have a second transformer that supplies power to the spark module. This transformer can produce vibrating noises, especially if the harness bracket above is positioned too close to it.
