Whirlpool Washer SUD Error

Whirlpool Washer SUD error code indicates that overdose of detergent is detected during the wash cycle . 

  • Symptom: The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. 
  • Possible causes:
  1. Too much detergent is being used.
  2. Drain hose is plugged or kinked.
  3. Drain Pump filter is plugged.
  4. Drain pump, pressure switch or control board (CCU) malfunction.

Solution:

  1. If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle then a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
  2. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  3. Check and clean drain pump filter of foreign objects and debris.

    Whirlpool Washer F5E2 Error

    Whirlpool Washer F5E2 error code indicates that there is the problem with washer lid lock. 

    • Symptom: The lid lock will not lock the lid and  F5E2 error code shows on the display.
    • Possible causes:
    1. Lid is not closed completely due to interference.
    2. Detergent buildup is preventing the lock bolt from extending.
    3. Main control detects open lid switch when attempting to lock.
    4. Main control cannot determine if lid lock is in a locked state.

    Solution:Perform the following checks if the washer does not lock or unlock.

    1. Unplug the washer or disconnect power.
    2. Check for obstructions or residue buildup around the lid lock strike. Clear the buildup  and restart the cycle.
    3. If that doe not help, remove console to access main control.
    4. Visually check tha the J6 connector is inserted all the way into the main control. If connector is not inserted properly, reconnect J6.
