Reset the Water Filter Light on Miele Refrigerator

This article will show you how to reset the Filter light after you replace the water filter on your Miele refrigerator . The water filter should be replaced after a certain amount of time (approximately every 6 months). It also depends on the water usage. Filter replacement notification occurs in 2 stages.

Stage 1: After 23 weeks of runtime or 665 gallons (2520 liters) of water the filter icon in the display will turn red. Stage 2: If the filter is not replaced, the filter icon will blink after 26 weeks or 739 gallons (2800 liters) of water.

You can confirm Filter replacement in a few different ways:

Easy Way: Press and hold the Thermometer and the Filter touchpad or the freezer’s Up and On/Off touchpad for approximately five seconds (mostly on new models).

Using Customer Service Mode:

  • Switch the freezer ON
  • Locate and hold the Down arrow
  • Turn off the display by pressing the Thermometer touchpad.
  • While holding the Down arrow press the Thermometer touchpad. When it becomes yellow release it.
  • Keep holding the Down arrow until letter C shows up on the display. Scroll down to h and press thermometer icon. Scroll down to h2 and hold it until h- shows up.
  • Press Thermometer. When letter h shows up scroll back to C and then press Thermometer again.
